Dubai: The UAE government has announced that public sector workers will be granted a three-day holiday in view of Eid-ul-Fitr. According to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, employees will be granted paid leave on the first three days of shawwal month. In the last days of Ramadan, the exact starting date of shawwal is decided by the Maspiravi Darshana Samiti in the UAE. Since Ramadan began on March 1, Shawwal 1 will be on Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31. In this case, the employees will get three days of public leave. He will then have to return to work on Thursday, April 3.
