SHARJAH: Sharjah Indian Association General Secretary Abdullah Mallicherry released the Malayalam version of Bhasha Singh’s ‘Unseen’ which is about the life of the people of India, ‘Kanamarayathe India’ by handed over the book to Malayala Manorama Chief Reporter Sadiq Kavil at the 39th Sharjah International Book Fair held at Sharjah Expo Centre. The book has been translated into Malayalam by renowned author Chinchu Prakash. The book launch took place in the pavilion of Olive Publications, the publisher of the book.
The book ‘Kanamarayathe India’ is about a sect that has been marginalized for centuries. The theme of the book is breaking the walls that make people pushed into manual scavenging invisible.
The book was introduced at the function by Velliyodan, a famous writer. Salam Pappinisseri, Olive Publication Gulf Coordinator, UAE Legal Representative, and Social Activist; Ashraf Atholi, Olive Publication Middle East Organizer; prominent writers Basheer Thikkodi, Abdurahman Maniyoor, Chiranthana Cultural Forum President, Incas UAE Committee General Secretary Punnakan Muhammadali; Adv. Shankar Narayanan, social worker KTP Ibrahim, Munthir Kalpakancherry, Hamsa Kariyadan Mankadavu were present at the function.
