UAE: Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, stated that the UAE is “everyone’s country and home.” Sheikh Mohammed made his remarks on the eve of the 13th annual Asda’a BCW Arab Youth Survey, which was released on Tuesday.
Nearly half of those polled (47%) said they wanted to live in the UAE, while 19% and 15% said they wanted to live in the United States and Canada respectively. Around half of respondents (46%) said the UAE was the country they most desired to emulate, followed by the United States (28%), Canada and Germany (12% each).
Since young Arab men and women in the Middle East and Africa (MENA) were first asked the question in 2012, the UAE has led the list of most favored countries every year.
Arab youths stated the UAE’s rising economy, wide range of opportunities, clean environment, safety and security, and high salary packages as major attributes that set the country apart from others in the Arab world.
