SHARJAH: Leading author and journalist Sharif Sagar’s novel ‘Wariamkunnath Kunhahammed Haji’ has been released at the Sharjah International Book Fair. The first copy was released by Regency Group Chairman Shamsuddin bin Muhyuddin handing it to Middle East Chandrika Resident Editor Jalil Pattambi.
The launch event was held at the Publishers Olive Publications pavilion. Wariamkunnath Kunhahammad Haji played an important role in the history of the Malabar struggle. The book deals with the life of Kunhahammad Haji, a valiant warrior who fought valiantly against foreign tyranny and was martyred.
The book was introduced by Author Salim Ayyanath. Syed Bashir Ali Shihab Thangal, UAE KMCC President Puthur Rahman, Public Secretary Anwar Naha, Salam Pappinisseri, Olive Publications Gulf Coordinator, UAE Legal Representative and social activist, Olive Middle East Organizer Ashraf Atholi, Chiranthana Cultural Venue President and Incas UAE General Secretary Punnakan Muhammadali, Munawwar Valanchery, Abdul Jalil (Faith Group), Ashraf Thamarassery, social activist KTP Ibrahim, Mundir Kalpakancherry, Hamsa Kariyadan Mankadavu, Chacko Iringalakuda took part in the function.
