Dubai:Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that public transport, taxis, and shared mobility services collectively served 6.39 million passengers during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, spanning from 30 March to 1 April 2025.According to the RTA, the Dubai Metro remained the most popular mode of transport, carrying 2.428 million riders across its Red and Green Lines. Meanwhile, the Dubai Tram transported 111,130 passengers, and public buses accommodated 1.33 million commuters over the three-day period.Dubai’s marine transport services, including abras, ferries, and water taxis, recorded 408,991 boardings, reflecting the city’s growing demand for waterfront mobility. In addition, Dubai Taxi and franchise operators collectively served 1.687 million riders, while shared mobility services—which include e-hail vehicles, hourly car rentals, and on-demand bus services—facilitated 429,616 rides.
The RTA attributed this surge in ridership to enhanced transport services, strategic scheduling, and seamless interconnectivity between different modes of public transport. The figures highlight Dubai’s commitment to providing world-class mobility solutions, ensuring smooth and efficient transport experiences for residents and visitors during major public holidays.
