Dubai:Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a Ramadan road safety awareness campaign to promote safe driving and pedestrian practices during the holy month. The initiative, in collaboration with Dubai Police, the private sector, and community organizations, aims to educate drivers, cyclists, and e-scooter users about traffic rules and the risks of driving while fatigued.As part of the campaign, RTA partnered with Noon and Listerine to distribute 20,000 Ramadan gift packs containing educational brochures to delivery bikers, metro users, and drivers. Additionally, Iftar meals were provided to Dubai Taxi, bus, and truck drivers in collaboration with various partners.RTA also announced updated truck movement restrictions, with bans in key areas, including Sheikh Zayed Road and Emirates Road, during peak hours. Drivers are urged to plan routes, maintain safe distances, and remain patient to ensure a safer road environment during Ramadan.
