The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has released the schedule for its services during the New Year’s holiday 2025, covering public transport, parking, and Customer Happiness Centres.
Key Details
Customer Happiness Centres and Vehicle Testing
• All Customer Happiness Centres and vehicle testing centres will be closed on Wednesday, 1 January 2025.
• Regular operations will resume on Thursday, 2 January 2025.
Dubai Metro and Tram
• Dubai Metro:
• 31 December 2024: Operates from 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
• 1 January 2025: Operates from 12:00 midnight to 11:59 PM.
• Dubai Tram:
• 31 December 2024: Operates from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
• 1 January 2025: Operates from 12:00 midnight to 1:00 AM (next day).
Public Buses (Dubai Bus)
• For bus schedules, passengers are advised to check the S’hail app for the latest updates.
• Temporary Route Suspension:
• Route E100 (Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi) and Route E102 (Al Jafiliya to Shabiya Musaffah) will be suspended on 31 December 2024 and 1 January 2025.
• Passengers may use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.
Marine Transport Services
Water Taxi:
• Services available on demand (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) with prior booking.
• Key routes:
• Marina Mall – Bluewaters: 4:00 PM – 12:00 midnight.
• Marina Promenade – Marina Mall 1: 1:50 PM – 9:45 PM.
Dubai Ferry:
• Key routes:
• Al Ghubaiba – Dubai Water Canal: 1:00 PM, 6:00 PM.
• Dubai Water Canal – Bluewaters: 1:50 PM, 6:50 PM.
• Tourist Trips from Marina Mall: 4:30 PM.
• Al Ghubaiba – Sharjah Aquarium: 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 10:00 PM.
Abras:
• Popular routes:
• Dubai Old Souq – Baniyas: 11:00 AM – 11:50 PM.
• Al Fahidi – Deira Old Souq: 11:00 AM – 11:45 PM.
• Baniyas – Al Seef: 11:00 AM – 12:20 AM.
Tourist Trips:
• Key areas include Al Seef, Al Fahidi, Baniyas, and Dubai Water Canal, operating between 4:00 PM and 10:15 PM.
Public Parking
• Public parking (excluding multi-storey facilities) will be free on Wednesday, 1 January 2025.
• Paid parking resumes on Thursday, 2 January 2025.
