MAPUTO, Mozambique: The meeting of Verónica Macamo, Mozambican Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation was attended by UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique, Khalid Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Shuhail Al-Qahtani. The heads of diplomatic and consular missions of the African and Middle East Group accredited to Mozambique also was present at the meeting.
The latest developments related to the political, economic, and social situations in her country, especially security tensions in northern and central Mozambique were briefed by the Mozambican Minister. She also talked about the efforts made by her country to contain the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Minister of Mozambique not only thanked all the friendly countries for their assistance to Mozambique in fighting the pandemic, but also for their support and assistance to Mozambique last year when the country was hit by the disaster of tropical cyclones “Idai and Kenneth.”
