Dubai, February 17, 2025: The 30th edition of Gulfood 2025 began today at the Dubai World Trade Center, marking a historic milestone as the largest and most expansive gathering in the event’s illustrious history. This global food and beverage trade show promised an extraordinary showcase, drawing over 5,500 exhibitors from 129 countries. Participants displayed more than one million products across 24 halls, covering an impressive 1.3 million square feet of exhibition space.HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, visited the opening day of Gulfood 2025 today, underscoring the significance of the event in reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for food trade and innovation.New countries making their debut at Gulfood this year included Kosovo, Zambia, Mauritius, and Madagascar, adding to the diverse global presence. The theme for this edition, “The Next Frontier in Food,” highlighted the future of global food systems, emphasizing sustainability, cutting-edge innovations, and the ongoing evolution of the food industry in the face of new challenges.
Gulfood 2025 featured marathon discussions on topics shaping the food sector, addressing environmental challenges in agriculture, with a strong focus on sustainable farming and food security.Lulu Group, one of the largest retail chains in the Middle East, was among the top exhibitors. As part of the event, Lulu Group signed an MoU with Greece in a ceremony attended by Bane Prelevits, Governor of the Macedonia Region, and Salim M.A., Director of Lulu Global Operations, alongside H.E. Konstantinos Tsiaras, Minister of Agriculture, Greece.
