SHARJAH: The Emirate of Sharjah will host the first edition of the “Jewels of Emirates” Show, the first 100 percent Emirati exhibition for jewelry, gold, silver, pearl, precious stones, luxury watches, and perfumes.
the Expo Centre Sharjah announced that the event, under the theme “Let your jewelry speak for you,” will be held from 25th to 28th November 2020 with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI. The latest traditional and modern gold and diamond lines and trends will be showcased by a large number of UAE companies participating in the event.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, SCCI Chairman, said that the event is part of the effort to create various platforms to stimulate the movement of sales and trade at the local level, after being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. He added that the efforts are in line with the SCCI’s strategy to create initiatives to achieve economic sustainability and develop the national economy. It is also aligned with the vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to achieve economic diversification by supporting the local economy and enhancing its competitiveness to consolidate Sharjah’s position as a leading economic hub.
Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, pointed out the Expo Centre’s accumulated experiences to adapt to various changes. He also said that the event targets local manufacturers and merchants and will stimulate domestic tourism, attracting consumers from the various emirates.
Saif Mohammad Al-Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said that the event is part of the endeavor to create a variety of platforms to boost sales and trade following the COVID-19 repercussions. He also stated that several specialized fairs were organized after the Sharjah Executive Council decided to resume activities. He also indicated that the Centre is focusing on organizing local exhibitions to support Emirati companies and promote domestic products. He also informed that the highest precautionary and preventive measures will be ensured at the event.
