Dubai: Expo 2020 attendees can now customize their visits using the official app based on their interests. Visitors’ specific preferences will be matched to build a personal calendar of activities and attractions throughout a location twice the size of Monaco, thanks to a newly launched tourist app.
Visitors can use the app to purchase tickets, select from over 200 dining options and themed culinary events, and make reservations for Expo 2020’s intelligent Smart Queue system, which allows attendees to secure a convenient time slot to visit a pavilion of their choosing and avoid lines.
The app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, was created in collaboration with Accenture, Expo 2020’s Official Digital Services Partner. It allows visitors to create an Expo 2020 account or link their social media account.
They can also use a GPS-enabled interactive map of the Expo site as well as step-by-step guidance to various sites of interest. A chatbot on the app will provide advice on how to make Expo 2020 visits safe and pleasurable, including specifics on opening times, parking alternatives, and how to get to Expo using Dubai’s huge public transportation system.
The Expo 2020 app, according to Mohammed Alhashmi, chief technology officer, Expo 2020 Dubai, puts everything at your fingertips, including boarding the Garden in the Sky observation tower, which is 55 meters above the ground; partying at Expo Beats, a monthly music festival with a global cast; and viewing the spectacular Expo Water Feature.
The mobile app, according to Gerado Canta, senior managing director and executive sponsor for Accenture’s partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, is a window for visitors from all over the world to learn about Expo 2020 and plan their visits through curated journeys, ensuring an accessible and relevant experience for all.
Separately, the Expo 2020 Business App connects individuals in the business community who have common interests and goals, with the goal of promoting significant business to business (B2B), business to government (B2G), and government to government (G2G) connections across industries and regions.
It proposes prospective matches for users based on their profiles, skills, goals, and engagement habits, and is available for mobile and desktop, guaranteeing that any business visitor can fulfill their business objectives.
Users can create their own unique profile and seek for potential match partners using the app’s filters. Individuals can start talking, chatting, and booking meetings with other users, businesses, and entities of interest once they’ve created a connection, in order to form relationships both during and after Expo, which closes its doors on March 31, 2022.
While the software is free to download on WebApp, App Store, and Google Play, there is a nominal registration cost to access premium features like networking, connecting, talking, and organizing meetings.
In addition to these two primary apps, fitness enthusiasts attending Expo 2020 can use the Glofox App – available on the App Store and Google Play – to track their health and make the most of all the sport and health-related events on offer. It allows customers explore timetables and services, book lessons, and interact with other members and instructors at the Expo 2020 Sports, Fitness, and Wellbeing Hub, which is hosting an eclectic mix for all ages and physical abilities.
