Dubai: For the second consecutive year, the UAE Indian Islahi Centre and Al Manar Islamic Centre have received permission to organize five Eidgahs in total, including two in the Malayalam language and one each in Tamil, Urdu, and English. This was announced by officials of the Indian Islahi Centre during a press conference.The Eidgah at Al Manar Islamic Centre, Al Qusais, will be led by Maulavi Abdussalam Mongam, while the one at Target Football Ground near Lulu Hypermarket, Qusais, will be led by Maulavi Husain Kakkat. The Eid prayer will begin at 6:20 AM, followed by an Eid sermon in Malayalam.Additionally, an English-language Eidgah will be conducted at Barsha NGS School Ground, led by Sheikh Ayaz Housey. The Urdu-language Eidgah will take place at Muhaisnah Sonapur, led by Hafiz Naeemullah Sanabuli, while the Tamil-language Eidgah will be hosted at Crescent School, Qusais, with Sheikh Sadiqun Madani leading the prayers.The Indian Islahi Centre, which has been serving the UAE community selflessly for over four decades, expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, and officials from the Dubai Islamic Affairs Department, including Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi and Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khateeb, for granting permission for these Eidgahs.A significant development this year is the approval of an Eidgah in Ajman for the first time for Malayalam-speaking expatriates. The prayer will be held at Al Jurf Habitat School Ground, and the centre extended its appreciation to the Ajman authorities for their support.With thousands of worshippers expected to attend across key areas of Dubai, all necessary arrangements are in place for smooth and organized Eid prayers. These Eidgahs have become the largest gathering points for Malayalis in the region during Eid mornings.Founded in 1979 in Dubai, the Indian Islahi Centre operates 10 branch committees across different emirates. The organization actively conducts religious, social, and cultural programs, collaborates with government-approved institutions for charitable initiatives, and runs educational projects, knowledge-based public talks, study sessions, and competitions that benefit thousands of students and professionals.
The centre also has a vibrant women’s wing that conducts various activities across the UAE.
