Dubai:Dr. K P Hussain, on behalf of Fathima Healthcare Group and Dr. Hussain Charitable
Trust, is proud to announce the continuation of their long-standing commitment to
society through significant charitable contributions during the holy month of Ramadan.
For the past 28 years, the trust has been dedicated to supporting those in need through
Zakat, and this year, a generous sum of Rs 3 crores has been earmarked for various
social and charitable purposes. One of our key contributions of this year’s donation is to IQRAA International Hospital &Research Centre, a hospital known for its exceptional humanitarian and charitable
efforts. Despite the presence of numerous hospitals in the region, IQRAA Hospital,
under the leadership of Dr. Anwar, Executive Director, stands out for its charitable
services. The hospital, which operates as part of a charitable trust, provides free
surgeries, consultations, and affordable healthcare services for those who truly need it.
Dr. Anwar, along with his dedicated team and well-wishers, has always been committed
to creating social value in the healthcare sector. As part of this year’s contribution, Dr.
Hussain Charitable Trust has donated Rs 1 crore to the hospital's newly built complex.
This donation will support the establishment of 13 Outpatient Departments at IQRAA
Hospital, significantly enhancing the hospital's capacity to serve the community. The
hospital, for the last 10 years, has provided nearly Rs 20 crore worth of discounted and
free services to individuals in need, reinforcing its humanitarian and charitable approach
to healthcare. Through this contribution, we aim to support the expansion of their
services, ensuring that more people, especially the underprivileged, can access quality
healthcare free of cost.
Secondly, a significant portion of the Zakat funds have been allocated to CH Centre in
Tirur, Dr. Hussain's hometown, a charitable institution aimed at providing essential
healthcare services to those in need. The CH Centre offers life-saving dialysis and
cancer treatments, as well as medications, completely free of cost for the deserving and
underprivileged patients. As part of this year’s contributions, Dr. Hussain Charitable
Trust has extended Rs 68 lakhs to support the construction of a five-storey building at
CH Centre. This contribution will help to cover the expenses for one entire floor of the
facility, which is already constructed. The new building will provide additional space for
dialysis services, cancer treatments, and other essential healthcare services for the
poor.
Further, Dr. Hussain Charitable Trust, together with Helping Hands Charitable Trust, has
a long history of providing vital support through care homes, kidney dialysis centers,
cancer homes, medical camps, and shelters for the homeless. This year, we have
extended our contribution by purchasing 98 cents of land for Rs 40 lakhs for the victims
of the Wayanad landslide disaster at Chooralmala, with the aim of providing them with
permanent shelter and a new beginning. The trust has purchased and handed over the
land to the Helping Hands Charitable Trust to facilitate the construction of 20 houses for
the homeless victims. The construction of 15 houses will begin next month, ensuring
that families displaced by the landslide will have a shelter as a great relief. We believe
that the construction of these homes will provide safety and stability to the victims,
helping them rebuild their lives after the tragic landslide.
Our trust has further extended its commitment to serving the community by providing Rs
58 lakhs to the Kerala Institute of Neuro Rehab. This donation is being used to
purchase 8 acres of land in Thirumbadi, where a specialized village for people with
disabilities, neuro-related disabilities, and trauma victims is being developed. As the
Chairman of Kerala Institute of Neuro Rehab, Dr. K P Hussain envisions creating a
state-of-the-art facility with inpatient services, designed to provide comprehensive
rehabilitation and treatment for those affected by neurological conditions, physical
disabilities, and trauma. The aim is to create a fully equipped, supportive environment
where individuals can receive the right treatment and live a more fulfilling, normal life.
With this significant contribution, the trust hopes to make a lasting difference in the lives
of those with disabilities, neuro-related conditions, and trauma.
Furthermore, our Trust has been approached by numerous individuals and
organizations seeking assistance for various needs, which includes support for housing
requirements for underprivileged families, medical treatment support for those unable to
afford necessary healthcare, renovation and construction of mosques and temples,
ensuring that religious institutions continue to serve their communities, and support for
social organizations such as KMCC, AIM, and other institutions dedicated to the
welfare of marginalized communities. The donation to the above social causes is
calculated at Rs 34 lakhs.
We strongly believe that the Almighty has blessed us with the opportunity to serve the
community for the past 28 years, and this year, our contributions will continue to add
value to the lives of those in need. Our approach is always focused on ensuring that
Zakat reaches the deserving individuals and organizations that are truly in need. We
have done our due diligence to ensure that every organization we support is committed
to transparency and the welfare of the community.
Myself together with my wife Dr Beena Hussain and 3 daughters continue to honor our
mission of providing compassionate care, humanitarian assistance, and empowerment
to those who need it the most, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.
