Sharjah, :American University of Sharjah (AUS) hosted a Silk Road-inspired benefit suhoor, raising over AED 2 million to fund scholarships for students facing financial challenges, disabilities, and underserved backgrounds. Held under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS, the event celebrated education, cultural exchange, and community giving.Sheikha Bodour emphasized AUS’ mission to make education accessible, stating, “Knowledge should never be limited by financial barriers but should unite, uplift, and empower us all.”The evening featured a panel discussion on the Silk Road’s business legacy, artistic performances, and a live auction, which included rare artworks, handcrafted rugs, exclusive jewelry, and unique Sharjah car plate numbers.
