Dubai: Aster DM Healthcare, in collaboration with Dubai Police, has launched its annual Ramadan initiative to distribute 150,000 Iftar kits to motorists across Dubai. Now in its sixth year, the campaign ensures that individuals stuck in traffic during Iftar can break their fast on time.Over 100 Aster Volunteers, including employees and community members, will distribute an average of 5,000 food boxes daily across five major traffic junctions, with some days reaching up to 6,000. The Iftar kits contain dates, water, cake, and juice, offering much-needed relief during rush hour.Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, highlighted the campaign’s impact, emphasizing the importance of supporting the community during Ramadan. Dubai Police First Lieutenant Abdullah Abdulrahman echoed this sentiment, stressing the initiative’s role in fostering generosity and well-being.Last year, Aster DM Healthcare distributed 150,000 Iftar kits, continuing its commitment to social responsibility. The campaign will run throughout Ramadan, reinforcing values of empathy and solidarity in the UAE.
