SHARJAH: The Malayalam edition of the Wuhan Diary, written by the famous Chinese author Fang Fang, based on Covid-19, was presented by social activist Feroz Kunnumparambil to Olive Publications Gulf Coordinator, UAE legal representative, and social activist Salam Pappinisseri at the 39th International Book Fair at the Sharjah Expo Center. The book that tells the story of the people of Wuhan was translated to Malayalam by prominent writers Praveen Rajendran, Anu K. Antony, and Pratibha RK. The book launch took place in the pavilion of Olive Publications, the publisher of the book.
The book, Wuhan Diary gives an account of the challenges and insecurity faced by Wuhan residents during the lockdown following the coronavirus that terrorized them over time. The book also clearly tells how the residents of Wuhan did not lose hope at this adversity and overcame the challenges. The Wuhan Diary is a book that points out that suffering is the same for all human beings around the world.
The book was introduced by Anisha, who is a prominent writer. Olive Publication Middle East Organizer Ashraf Atholi, Sharjah Indian Association President EP Johnson, Feroz Abdullah, Chiranthana Cultural Venue President, Incas UAE Committee General Secretary Punnakan Muhammadali, Adv. Shankar Narayanan, Team Thallalla Kettoli members Munthir Kalpakancherry, Abdul Rahman Kalathil, Riyas Pappan, Yusuf Karakkad, social activist K.T.P. Ibrahim and Hamza Kariyadan Mankadavu were present at the function.
