LONDON: 13th October, 2020: The novel corona virus has infected globally more than 37.74 million people and caused the death of 1,078,572 as reported by a Reuters tally published on Tuesday.
The United States topped the list of twenty countries with the highest recorded infections and deaths in the world. The U.S. reported 214,584 deaths and 7,783,379 confirmed cases. India, Brazil, Russia, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, Peru, Mexico, France, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Iran, Chile, Iraq, Bangladesh, Italy, the Philippines, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey are the other top 20 countries with maximum infected cases. More than 210 countries and territories have reported cases since December 2019.
