Dubai: Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) of Dubai Municipality has recently been appointed as one of the certification bodies by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA), to provide certification services for many products in multiple fields by authorized by ESMA. The move is part of the DCL’s efforts to expand its areas of work within certification services and product conformity assessment.
This appointment will contribute to achieving integration with federal authorities in providing distinguished services, in ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction and happiness, and protecting their rights by ensuring that the products conform to the relevant specifications and legislation at the local and federal level.
Eng. Amin Ahmed Amin, Director of DCL, stressed that based on the Municipality’s vision of building a happy and sustainable city and the strategic objective supporting this vision to establish a culture of leadership and corporate governance, the DCL always seeks to apply international best practices and provide excellent services to the individuals and the society in its field of operation.
He stated that the Product Conformity Assessment Section of DCL has developed and introduced various certification systems in accordance with the best international practices and standard specifications in the field of product conformity assessment, as the certification services currently provided by the Section are distributed in more than 38 countries in various continents of the world.
Certification services cover a variety of products such as bricks, rebar, thermal insulation, ready-mixed concrete plants, solar water heaters systems, dyes, adhesives and fillers, building facade cladding materials, food products and other products.
