Sharjah, : Boba fever bubbled over at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF 2025) as young participants whipped up their own tapioca pearl drinks in a hands-on workshop designed to inspire creativity and independence in the kitchen.
Led by Aurora Sitjar from Skilldeer, the session introduced children aged 12 and up to the art of making Boba Tea—from simmering pearls to crafting colorful, customized drinks. “Now that I know how to make it, I can have Boba whenever I want,” said 12-year-old Hezza Zayan, beaming with confidence.More than just a recipe class, the workshop is part of SCRF’s broader mission to teach life skills through fun, interactive experiences.
