RTA Expands Al Rowaiyah Truck Rest Stop, Boosts Capacity by 338%

Dubai,: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the expansion of the Al Rowaiyah Truck Rest Stop, increasing its parking capacity from 40 to 175 slots—a 338% boost. The upgrade aims to enhance land freight operations, improve driver services, and promote road safety across Dubai.Strategically located near Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road, the facility now offers state-of-the-art amenities, including a prayer room, restrooms, a refuelling station, and maintenance workshops.Ahmed Al Khzaimy, Director of Traffic at RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, emphasized that the expansion supports smooth traffic flow, reduces random truck parking, and aligns with RTA’s vision of seamless and sustainable mobility.
