Dubai: The 30th edition of Gulfood, the world’s largest food exhibition, has commenced at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Under the theme ‘The Next Frontier in Food,’ the event will showcase over 1 million products from more than 5,500 exhibitors representing 129 countries.The exhibition, spread across 24 halls, will conclude on the 25th of this month. Exhibitors range from startup food enterprises to major multinational companies.On the opening day, the ‘Food 500 Summit’ will bring together CEOs, heads of state, trade officials, investors, academics, scientists, and tech-innovation experts.Key topics to be discussed at the summit include international trade, investment strategies, trends, growth opportunities, AI-driven transformations, legislation, environmental concerns, health, wellness, and the socio-economic challenges impacting global food security.
Over the five days, trade deals worth $20 billion are expected to take place.Countries like the USA, France, Brazil, the UK, India, Singapore, Japan, and Australia — along with companies from Kosovo, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Zambia — will be making their presence felt at the exhibition.World-renowned chefs and culinary legends such as Alain Ducasse, Romain Meder, Ana Roš, Ángel León, and Fredrik Berselius will also be part of the grand event.
