Sharjah: The 48th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show (WJMES), organized by the Expo Centre Sharjah with the cooperation of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), will open tomorrow with approximately 300 exhibitors, including world leading companies, local jewellers and Emirati designers. The exhibition will end on 9th October.
This year’s edition of the show, which spans 30,000 square meters, features national pavilions from a number of world-leading gold-producing countries, including Italy, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and Thailand. In addition to dozens of Emirati companies, the event will feature leading companies and well-known brands from the United States, UK, Bahrain, China, Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Pakistan, Yemen, Turkey, Brazil, and Malta.
WJMES will also feature jewelry, gemstones, pearls, and watches influenced by current trends, traditions, and diverse cultures from across the world, all of which can be purchased directly.
The Emirati Jewellers Group will provide a series of beginning seminars on the art and craft of manufacturing jewelry, including electrochemical etching on metals, sawing metal and inlaying stones, and drawing and coloring gemstones for the first time.
