Dubai:Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) successfully carried out 20 community initiatives during Ramadan 2025, benefiting 55,000 individuals. These initiatives, supported by 350 volunteers contributing 1,500 hours, targeted various community groups, including low-income families, public transport users, and delivery bike riders.Key efforts included the Iftar Meal Project, which served over 30,000 people, and the Meals on Wheels initiative, which provided 15,500 meals to workers and abra riders. Additionally, 5,000 metro users participated in Ramadan-themed activities, and 1,000 nol cards were distributed to low-income families as part of the Ramadan Rations initiative.In celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, RTA organized cultural events for senior citizens and distributed Eid gifts to orphans and workers. The authority also promoted reading among children through interactive workshops in collaboration with Huawei Community.Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, emphasized RTA’s commitment to fostering a culture of giving and volunteerism, in line with the ‘Year of Community’ initiative.
